BORI launched e-library of rare books


The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), Pune, Maharashtra opened an e-library of ancient religious and historical works. Nearly 1,000 digitised rare books and manuscripts in Sanskrit, Prakrit and Pali are presently available for readers worldwide. BORI is named after legendary Indologist Ramkrishna Gopal Bhandarkar, was set up in 1917 and has in its possession nearly 2.5 lakh rare books and manuscripts. Which is South Asia’s largest and most invaluable collection of rare manuscripts.
